7 Days Trip Itinerary

Kabul

Day 1:

  • In the first day of your journey to Afghanistan it is going to be late so you could not go for nature or historical places but you could have a taste of Afghani foods in Zaifat Restaurant. Which is beautiful but pretty cheap.
  • After your dinner you gonna spend the first night of your journey in Kabul Intercontinental Hotel which is a five star hotel. It served as nation’s first international luxury hotel, one of the most visited by foreigners since its opening in 1969. The Hotel has 200 rooms and is equipped with a swimming pool, a gym, and about four restaurants for dine in or room service.

Day 2:

  • In the second day of your exploring in Afghanistan you gonna start visiting some natural and historical areas of Afghanistan. The first place that you are going to visit is a natural and historical Garden, Gardens of Babur. The gardens of Babur has several terraced buildings, a small mosque and plenty of walking space. visited by up to one million locals and foreign tourists a year, it is also where the tomb of the first Mughal emperor Babur is located. The park is thought to have been developed around 1504, when Babur gave orders for the construction of an “avenue garden” in Kabul, described in some detail in his memoirs, the Baburnama. it has been re-developed by various Afghan rulers since then.
  • At the same day (second day) you also gonna visit Darul Aman, the 150 room Darul Aman palace was originally built in the 1920s, during the reign of Amanullah Khan. The palace was severly damaged during the 1990s civil war. However, between 2016 and 2020 the palace was renovated by President Asraf Ghani. Next you gonna visit National Museum of Afghanistan.
  • The National Museum of Afghanistan is a two-story building near to Darul Aman palace. It was once considered to be one of the world’s finest museums. The museum’s collection had earlier been one of the most important in Central Asia, with over 100,000 items dating back several millennia, including items from Persian, Buddhist, and Islamic dynasties. with the star of civil war in 1992, the museum was looted numerous times and destroyed by rockets, resulting in a loss of 70% of the 100,000objects on display. Since 2007, a number of international organizations have helped to recover over 8,000 artifacts, the most recent being a limestone sculpture from Germany. Approximately 843 artifacts were returned by the United Kingdom in 2012, including the famous 1st Century Begram ivories. Day 3:

  • Wazir Akbar Khan is one of the wealthiest parts of Kabul. Many foreign embassies were located there before the fall of Kabul to the Taliban, including the American and Canadian. It is a common place for foreign workers to live. The streets are laid out on a gride with Western, two-story houses that date back to the 1960s and 1970s. Most of Afghanistan’s national government institutions are located in the area, including the Presidential Palace, the headquarters of the Resolute Support Mission and the German-Afghan Amini High School.

 

Kandahar

Day 3:

  • Chil Zena (“Forty steps”), is a mountainous outcrop in Kandahar. Forty stone steps lead to the top of the outcrop, hence its name. it gives a commanding view on the city of Kandahar. Chil Zena was located on the northern side of the old citadel of Old Kandahar, destroyed by Nadir Shan Afshar of Persia in 1738. The carving of the staricase was commissioned by the Emperor Babur. Chil Zena later received numerous inscriptions about the conquests of Babur (1526-1530), apparently carved by his son Humayun. Chil Zena is well known for the discovery of the Indian Emperor Ashoka.
  • One of the best Hotel in Kandahar, it has guest houses and restaurants as well and very safe place to stay, you get In love with if you just spend one day.

Helmand

Day 4:

  • Qala-e-Bost also romanized Qalai Bust, which means the Bost Castle, is a fortress in Bost, Helmand Province, built 3000 years ago. It is the same place that you might have seen in Afghani’s Money (You again gonna be back to Dubia inn Hotel).

 

Kandahar

Day 5:

  • The Charso Sarphosha Bazaar, a marketplace which is still used by Kandahar residents, was built during the rein of Ahmad Shah Durrani. This bazar is a historical place and dates back to 250.

 

Kabul

Day 5:

  • Entering Kabul’s bird market is like stepping back in time a hundred years, to a corner of the city untouched by war or modernisation. It is a narrow lane tucked away behind the Pul-e-Khishti Mosque, lined wit stalls and booths selling birds by the dozen, plus the occasional rabbit.
  • Pul-e-Khishti Mosque is the largest mosque in Kabul. The Mosque orginally was erected in the late 18th century, but largely rebuilt under Zahir Shah in the late 1960s. It was damaged during flighting in the 1990s, but has been fully restored as of 2019. Many Kabuls’ residents assert that the Imam of this mosque for many years in the early part of the 20th century was an Englishman who had converted to Islam, and that the Imam returned to England after relinquishing his position at the mosque.
  • You gonna have your dinner in Kabul Crown, one of the most famous, luxury and beautiful restaurant in Kabul city. After dinner you would be back to Intercontinental Hotel that we wrote about in the first day.

 

Bamiyan

Day 6:

  • The Buddah of Bamiyan were two 6th century monumental statues carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley. Carbon dating of the structural components of the Buddah has determined that the smaller 38 m was built around 570 CE, and the larger 55 m was built around 618 CE, which would date both to the tme when the Hephthalites ruled the region. it was a holy site for Buddhists on the ancient Silk Roud.
  • Gholghola hotel is the most luxury hotel located in front of Buddha Satues with beautiful nature scenery. The hotel is 6 story high with modern and European architectural style, elegant decoration and top quality facilities.
  • Band-e-Amir National Park it was established on 22 April 2009 as Afghanistan’s first national park to promote and protect the natural beauty of a series of intensely blue lake created by natural dams high in Hindu Kush. Band-e-Amir is a chain of six lakes in the mountainous desert of central Afghanistan. You gonna be back to Gholghola Hotel.

 

Day 7:

  • Back to Kabul and flight to Paksitan.

  • Will visit Herat Citadel.
  • Will walk around the city.

  • Kirka Sharif located in Kandahar province. The shrine became notable in literature during the Second Anglo-Afghan War, when the British Indian Army were trying to gain influence in Afghanistan. The shrine houses a mantle or cloak, believed to be the cloak of Mohammad (saw) as worn by the Islamic prophet Mohammad (saw) during the Night Journey in the year 621.

Mazar-e-Sharif

Day 6:

  • The Shrine of Hazrat Ali, also known as the Blue Mosque. It is one of the reputed burial places of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Mohammad. The site includes a series of five separate building, with the Shrine of Hazrat Ali being In the center. the story the founding of the shrine indicates that, shortly after the murder of Hazrat Ali and the burial of his body at Najaf, near Baghdad, some of Ali’s followers worried that his body would be desecrated by his enemies, and they placed his remains on while female camel. Ali’s followers traveled with the camel for several weeks, until the camel ultimately feel to the ground exhausted. and the body was then reburied where the camel fell. this back to 1400 years ago.

Samangan

Day 7:

  • Takht-e-Rostam is a stupa Buddhist monastery complex 2 km shouth of the town of Haibak. Built in the 3rd-4th century AD while the area was part of KushanoSaasanian Kingdom the complex is carved entirely from the bedrock and “consists of five chambers, two of them sanctuaries. One of them has a domed ceiling with an elaborate lotus leaf decoration. On an adjacent hill is the stupa, surmounted by a harmika, with several more rough caves around the base. A hoard of Ghaznavid coins was found by chance in one of the caves. at night you gonna be back to the Emperial Hotel which explained in detail in day 6.

The Siege of Bamiyan took place here in 1221 during the Mongol pursuit of Jalal ad-Din Mingburnu, the last ruler of the Khwarezmian Empire. Mutukan, son of Chagatia Khan, was killed in battle by an arrow from the besieged walls, which led Genghis to massacre the population of the city and its surrounding region.

 

Kabul

Day 10:

  • Qargha is a dam and reservoir at Qargha near kabul. The reservoir and its peripheral areas provide for recreation facilities such as boating, surfing, golfling. And has a hotel on its bank. There is a fishery development in the reservoir supported by a hatchery on its banks. Irrigation and hydropower developments have also been planned from the stored waters of the reservoir.
